During any given week, your restaurant will see a ton of customers celebrating in different ways: first dates, blind dates, bad dates, and everything in between.

But there’s a dark side of dining out that needs to be addressed. Did you know that in North America, somebody is sexually assaulted every 68 seconds? This awful, yet sobering statistic demonstrates that restaurants need to do what they can to help ensure the safety & well-being of their guests (no matter what day of the year it is).

We at AnyDay have created an important resource to get your restaurant Valentine’s-ready: the Angel Shot program & poster 💘. The Angel Shot program is an easy way for restaurants to promote guest well-being & eliminate possible problems or scary situations. Your guests and employees will thank you for keeping safety at the forefront of your business.

What is the Angel Shot Program & Poster?:
The Angel Shot is not actually a shot or a specific cocktail, but instead a code that signals to a bartender or restaurant staff that a guest is feeling unsafe.

The poster included is one-sided & typically hung in customer-facing bathrooms. The poster highlights the importance of guests’ safety, and how they can alert the restaurant of any unsafe feelings in a discreet manner.

How do I use the Angel Shot poster?:

  1. Print it out & tape it in your customer-facing bathrooms.
  2. Set-up a team training & share resources. Don’t worry, we’ve also included a quick, downloadable training guide that you can share with your employees!
  3. Once your team is aware of the Angel Shot program, not only can you have peace of mind that your patrons will feel safe at your establishment, but you will also receive a great deal of appreciation by your guests - who will feel grateful for this level of thoughtfulness and care.

Angel Shot Recipe Code:

There are 3 variations of shots noted on the Angel Shot poster:

  • Neat or Straight Up: If a guest orders this kind of angel shot drink, they want an employee to walk them to their car.
  • On Ice or On the Rocks: When a guest asks for this kind of angel drink, they want a staff member to call a rideshare or taxi.
  • With Lemon/Lime or With a Twist: In this case, the guest feels like they’re in imminent danger and they want an employee to call the police.

The Angel Shot program is an easy way for restaurants to promote guest well-being & eliminate possible problems or scary situations. Your guests & employees will thank you for keeping safety at the forefront of your business. 💗
